ABOUT US

Prehistoric Settlement Křivolík – Museum in Living Nature and Experimental Archaeological Centre – has been built since 2007 by the Bacrie Association, which originated from a free group of history and archaeology fans. At that time, the first experiments with prehistoric agriculture, wood and leather processing took place here, and over time the small birch enclosure became a sunny clearing, where today there are several reconstructions of buildings from various prehistory periods (from hunters and gatherers, through the Bronze Age to Iron), craft districts and a paddock with animals.

In the middle of the beautiful forests near Česká Třebová, thanks to this museum in the wild, you can find yourself in prehistoric times for a while, when hunters and gatherers of that time, the first farmers, bronze and metal smelters of the Bronze Age and the first ethnic group – Celts or Germans – appeared in our territory.

We also engage in our free time in research activities (within the field of so-called experimental archaeology) and educational activities (with the help of events and programs for children, youth and adults).
